You won't believe the latest twist in the ongoing saga of Damian Priest on SmackDown! Cain A. Knight, a seasoned wrestling analyst for Cageside Seats since 2014 (and a fan since the 1980s!), has the inside scoop. Last week, the 'Terror Twins,' Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley, reunited to defeat Zelina Vega and Aleister Black in a mixed tag team match. Many fans, myself included, hoped this would signal the end of Priest's feud with Black, which has been going on since the summer.
Priest seemed ready to move on, declaring at the start of the December 19th episode that his business with Black and Vega was concluded, and he was looking forward to 2026. But, alas, the rivalry isn't over. Zelina interrupted, pointing out that Priest didn't pin Black the previous week. Then, Black ambushed Priest. The segment concluded with Priest taking a double knee to the face, sending him through a table.
But the drama didn't end there! After the commercial break, Black continued his assault backstage, using a shovel and finishing with a Black Mass. This feud seems to have no end!
And this is the part most people miss... The intensity of the attacks and the lack of a definitive finish suggest that this feud is far from over.
