ROUND 1 BRACKET LISTINGS

Welcome to Round 1 of the Wasted Woman Poll, the tournament to see which fridged woman deserved better!

Thank you everyone for your patience for Round 1 to begin. Now that the semester is over, I finished the list of match-ups for the Round 1 bracket.

There were 89 contestants for this tournament. Anyone familiar with tournaments knows that it doing a 89-contestant, single-elimination tournament would be annoying. Rather than cutting out 25 contestants to make it a 64-contestant tournament, I opted to use the format of a 64-contestant tournament, just with some of the poll in Round 1 (a majority of them, actually) being three-way polls with a single winner rather than solely two-way polls. So out of the 89 contestants going into Round 1, only 32 will go on to Round 2. Many of the listings in Round 1 will be characters from the same series going against each other, so that the future rounds will be more varied.

The tournament will be split into 4 sets of 8 polls each, with every poll running for a whole link. Below the cut will be the list of match-ups for each set and when the polls will premiere.

If there are any mistakes at all (spelling, if a character appears twice, if the media someone is listed under is incorrect, etc.) please let me know! I did double-check it, but I'm only human so errors do happen.

got caught in traffic so bad this morning that Peyton, who leaves the house 20+ minutes after I do every morning, passed me on the interstate (I needed to stay in the right lane to get off and he stays left for his work) so I was like 35 minutes late to work this morning, but other than that it was a decent work day

I mailed mom the captain marvel cosplay shirt and hat and filled up my tires on my lunch break (I'm convinced that Luna just really likes to have lights on, her engine light went off this morning and was replaced less than 25 miles later with the tire pressure light). I also started my hunger games reread during the kiddo's naptime and i just know that this is going to turn into a Haymitch character study reread, I've only finished chapter 2 and I have already had Thoughts™️

I got home and did some more painting in the blue room, just one more day and I should have my part totally finished, so fingers crossed we can actually start getting that room set up soon and making more unpacking progress

I sat for a while admiring Peggy laying on me while we watched Jack's latest schedule I video, Paige applied for a job with the Carter foundation tonight that I think would be a perfect fit for her, so I really hope she gets that. Peyton went to bed almost an hour ago and Paige followed shortly after. I intended to go upstairs with Paige but I found a niche puzzle game on the switch version of Professor Layton that I really vibed with, after trying and failing to want to play Skyrim, TotK, and the mosaic puzzle game I have on the switch, so I did like 10 of those levels in a row and I am finally wrapping up my night and heading up to bed

Good afternoon,

I had my last shift at the Layton location this morning. I have two more shifts in Ogden and one Downtown and then I’m onto the new job. I also signed the lease for the new apartment last night and dropped off the first month’s rent and security deposit this afternoon. All of these new things are falling into place and it still feels sort of weird.

Carter has been on my mind a lot today as well as all of the things we had planned. Skiing and dirtbikes and sports for the upcoming season - if Kaylee and I were still together I would be heading his basketball practice right now. Instead I’m sitting at my desk in my mom’s basement. My entire life flipped upside down so fast and I’m still trying to catch up mentally.

Everything has been so go-go-go for the past two weeks straight and I feel like I haven’t been able to catch my breath or reach a completely calm spot. We broke up and after that last night together I launched straight into action and haven’t stopped since. I imagine the reality of everything might smack me hard across the face when I’m by myself for the first night in my new place on Wednesday. We will see.
